KBS implements management accounting systems for companies that do not necessarily have the knowledge or understanding of what should be implemented for their specific reporting requirements. KBS establishes the needs of the company's accounting system from the actual accounting package to be used and the manual reporting to management. KBS will then design the system that we think should be in place, which is then discussed with staff and management. Once management has approved the designed system, KBS will then implement the system. KBS will train the relevant staff on the system and teach the staff how the different reporting techniques work. Staff will then know how to use the information extracted from the system to provide meaningful information in order to make strategic management decisions. As the staff's understanding of the system increases, KBS will become an ad-hoc consultant. In other words KBS will be called only when needed.
